Privacy Policy

This policy explains how Mau ("we") handles data when you use Mau and connect your Google account. Questions or requests: hello@openmau.com.

Data we access

When you connect Gmail, Mau requests one Google permission: read-only access to your Gmail (https://www.googleapis.com/auth/gmail.readonly). Mau reads messages and their metadata (sender, recipients, subject, date, body, attachment names) only when an AI employee you created searches or reads your mail to carry out a task you or your configured schedule gave it.

How we use it

Data from your Google account is used only to perform the task you asked for and to show you the result. To do that, the relevant message content is sent to the AI model provider your employee runs on (currently OpenAI), which processes it to produce the answer.

We do not sell this data, use it for advertising, or use it to develop, improve or train generalized artificial intelligence or machine learning models. People do not read your data except with your permission, for security, to comply with law, or when it has been aggregated and anonymized. Mau's use and transfer of information received from Google APIs adheres to the Google API Services User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements.

Where it is stored

• Your Google authorization is stored encrypted in Mau's connector service. AI employees never receive it.
• Your conversations with an employee, and its execution records — which can include excerpts of messages it read — are stored on Mau's servers so that you can review what it did.
• Infrastructure providers that process this data for us: Volcengine (servers), Cloudflare (network and employee environments) and the AI model provider named above.

Your choices and deletion

• Disconnect Gmail on Mau's Connectors page at any time; Mau then deletes the stored authorization.
• You can also revoke access in your Google Account at myaccount.google.com/connections.
• Deleting an employee deletes its environment and the records Mau keeps for it; messages it already delivered to your chats stay in those conversations.
• To have other data deleted, email us at the address above.

Changes

If this policy changes, we update this page and the date above.

获取哪些数据

连接 Gmail 时，Mau 只申请一项 Google 权限：Gmail 只读（gmail.readonly）。只有当你创建的 AI 员工为完成你（或你设置的定时任务）交代的任务而搜索、阅读邮件时，Mau 才读取邮件及其元数据（发件人、收件人、主题、日期、正文、附件名）。

如何使用

来自 Google 账号的数据只用于完成你要求的任务并向你展示结果。为此，相关邮件内容会发送给员工所用的 AI 模型服务商（目前是 OpenAI）处理以生成回答。

我们不出售这些数据，不用于广告，也不用于开发、改进或训练通用人工智能或机器学习模型。除非得到你的许可、出于安全或法律要求、或数据已汇总匿名化，否则不会有人查看你的数据。Mau 对通过 Google API 获取的信息的使用和传输遵守 Google API Services User Data Policy，包括其中的 Limited Use 要求。

存储在哪里

• 你的 Google 授权加密保存在 Mau 的连接器服务里，AI 员工拿不到。
• 你与员工的对话、员工的执行记录（可能包含它读过的邮件摘录）保存在 Mau 的服务器上，方便你查看它做了什么。
• 为我们处理这些数据的基础设施服务商：火山引擎（服务器）、Cloudflare（网络和员工运行环境），以及上面提到的 AI 模型服务商。

你的选择与删除

• 随时可以在 Mau 的连接器页面断开 Gmail，Mau 会删除保存的授权。
• 也可以在 Google 账号的 第三方连接 页面撤销授权。
• 删除员工会删除它的运行环境和 Mau 为它保存的记录；它已经发到你聊天里的消息会留在对应的对话中。
• 其他数据的删除请求，请发邮件到上面的地址。

变更

本政策如有变更，我们会更新本页面和上面的日期。
